Gender Equality denies differences between male and female!

Posted by Hannah at 3:19 PM

I just finished Woman this is WAR! By Jocelyn Andersen author of another book called, Woman Submit!

It was Chapter 20 called, Smokescreens, Mantras and Slogans that truly resonated with me today.  I think that is because we see these parroted statements all the time, and yet there is no foundation to it.  In fact if you truly stop to hear the statements, and not just take some ‘organization’ or ‘authors’ word for it?  You can see and feel the twists and turns they take to make a point out of pretty much lies.

Gender Equality denies differences between male and female!

From the time we are born it doesn’t take your parents to point it out to you that there are indeed differences.  I mean seriously?  What a silly statement!

There are intrinsic differences between the genders that would be impossible for anyone to change.  You can deny it all you want to, but with most people if you do claim this?  They are going to wonder about your sanity.

CBMW claims that gender equality makes ‘men become more like women, and women become like men’ intrinsically.  What they are truly trying to get across?  Women that wish equality resent men’s authority that we claim God gave us.

Matthew 7:

A Tree and Its Fruit

15"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

If we look at history anyone can see that women have been fighting for basic ‘human’ rights.   They were not trying to be men at all.  The same lame statements had been made of women of the past as well.

The ‘place’ of women if you will, and their basic rights as humans is what they are striving for.  They aren’t looking to abandon their families, abort their babies, run all over men, and ‘have it all’.  I mean according to their theory if women are trying to be like men?  Are they saying men want it all?

I’m sure we can all point to women that have done this, but I can show you some ‘affirmation’ type of statements from slaves in the past that felt ‘slavery’ was good as well.  Do those slave statements from the past represent all or most slaves of that day?  I think we can all pretty much agree that is not the case.

It’s strange how CBMW can use the same tactics, and say the world is swallowing this hook, line and sinker!

Matthew 7:

The Wise and Foolish Builders

24"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."

28When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.

Why can’t they just be up front, and say its about authority?

You seriously have to wonder about that.  If you read their reasoning, explanations, etc they go on forever, and never truly make any points.  Instead of using scripture – or just cherry picking ones on occasion – they parrot neat slogans and mantras hoping to confuse people enough so they don’t stop to use critical thinking.

Gender Equality can’t change intrinsic differences between the genders; it’s just not possible!

One aspect is using the gifts that were given to you by God via the Holy Spirit is using those gifts to glorify him.

It has nothing to do with some men believing that is not respecting their authority to use certain ones on the basis of gender only.  It’s strange to me how they make it about men.

There is someone higher than they whose purpose is to be seen, lived, etc, and those gifts are avenues to do just that.  It has nothing to do with them at all.

It’s about our Lord, and it seems that some wish to obliterate certain avenues DUE HIM over a false sense of authority they wish to maintain.

Men have no right to tell others NOT to use gifts the Holy Spirit has presented to God’s people to use for the benefit of the body!  Why would certain men even want to go near that?

The bible states the Holy Spirit is giving us these gifts as the Holy Spirit determines.

1 Corinthians 12:11All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

To me it speaks of arrogance to tell women not to use the gifts that the Holy Spirit determined.  By whose authority do they do this?  Are they above the Holy Spirit to upsurp like this?

The purposes of the gifts are to serve the whole.

7Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues,[a] and to still another the interpretation of tongues.[b] 11All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

12The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. 13For we were all baptized by[c] one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

The Holy Spirit gives each Christian a gift or gifts, and those gifts are of various types, and they go towards works of various kinds for the purpose of the common good.

Now, in Greek, the word common "good," the word literally means "profit" or "benefit." So in other words, I think this is what this text is saying. That God has built something into you and into me, not simply to seek our own good or our own benefit.  It is built so that others can profit or experience, because of what God has worked into you. You were made to make a contribution, and so was I.  The end product should be to glorify God!  It has nothing to do with the biblical roles we hear so much about.  It has to do with God.

The use of those gifts are determined by the Holy Spirit, and given to you to use for the good of the Body of Christ.  CBMW has a ‘gift list’ determined by their authority, and if you don’t use that list you are blurring the lines of gender intrinsic natures.

This is nowhere in scripture, so why do they parrot this dogma?  Men couldn’t have their authority if they didn’t I guess!

Men can say they have the authority to tell you NOT to use those gifts that the Holy Spirit has given I suppose.  Why would men stop those gifts from being used?  Using those gifts that were given to you, me and anyone else doesn't deny gender differences.  I mean how completely silly!

What they seem to be saying is only use the gifts we want you to so we MEN will feel respected and loved!  The question really is WHO is the higher authority?  I will side with the Holy Spirit, and if they want to say I deny gender differences over that?  I guess I will question their sanity, because to me?  That's NUTS!

Hello Hannah,

The arugment in a nutshell from comps is that egals "DO" deny gender distinctions. I have watched discussion after discussion where egals readily admit that there are gender differences. I mean you said it at the beginning of the post, who can deny gender difference. All the arguments against egalitarianism/equality appear contrived at worst and distorted and twisted at best.

I do not comment much on blogs but am a avid reader of yours and others. I soak it all in like a sponge!

God Bless

Thank you Terri!

It is rather mind blowing when people say one thing, and others tell you THIS is what you meant by that. Then they go on to twist and turn so they cement their beliefs.

I guess for one thing they teach people to be a good salesman. They are selling ice to Eskimos!

I appreciate your comment!
